Adan Alipio: I am not 100% sure about toys for tots but our local Church Thrif store accepts donations. Calvary Chapel, They except eveything.....Ever year before my daughter birthday and Christmas and any other major gift holidays I make her go through her toys and pick some to give to the kids who can't afford toys.....I explain to her that some people can afford to buy nice toys like you and she say oh I would like to share....She always comes with me and give them to the person on the donation table and tells them they are for the kids who can't have nice toys like me........Show more
Clark Lachowski: Most programs like Toys for Tots want new, unwrapped toys. If you have gently used toys, consider donating them to a domestic abuse shelter. You can contact United Way's 2-1-1 to find one in your area. Many moms and children have left their homes suddenly and toys are a great thing for them.
Chi Alfero: Greetings! Toys for Tots will accept any toy you br! ing them. The people who accept them can decide whether or not a toy can be salvaged enough to give to another child. They accept new and old toys as well as cash donations. Sometimes if there is a particularly rough winter or a local town has a major disaster of some sort, Toys for Tots ask for money so they can get things for the children who have been impacted by the disaster. Another time they ask for money donations is when some @#$@#$#$$#!!!!!!!!!! breaks into their center and either vandalizes or steals toys. It boggles my mind that we have people in this world who does this sort of senselessness, but it does happen. The good news about the scenario above is that I truly believe for every one absolute thoughtless jerk we have in this world, there are ten others who will bend over backward to help make a person in any catastrophic situation feel very blessed.Don't sweat the so called "etiquette". Toys for Tots will be very glad that you gave what you did. Barrett Zheng: It doesn't have to be new, but like new, gently used is good enough.
Alexander Villas: The can be new or old, but in ok condition. They dont have to be washed or anything but should be able to be used by another child.If its battery operated and it wont work, i would still donate it.In my opinion its the thought that counts.Just make sure you dont give them anything that is dangerous or torn or unusable.Good on you for donating....Show more
Donovan Stallons: normally toys for tots wants new toys...may i suggest a childrens hospital? or maybe a head start program? Somewhere that a great toy can be used. Another suggestion may be to ask your church or a community food bank if there is a family that may appreciate a special treat that comes fom a great heart!
Charis Deguzman: they usually have a sign that says brand new toys.
Shon Almquist: they like new toy but they give away teddy bear to kid and some of then my be of many are donated
