Devon Kalberer: A "Scientific" poll is a poll whose sample is a true representation of the registered voting public (correct numbers of men/women, races, regions, social classes, occupations, etc). This as opposed to a non-scientific poll, which is like asking 100 people you approach at a shopping mall.
